On January 7, 2025, Associate Professor Jaladhar Neelavalli, Assistant Professor Nagarajan Ganapathy, and students from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad visited the Medical AI Research and Development Center at Hokkaido University Hospital.
During their visit, the professors and students from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad engaged in discussions with Associate Professor Hiroyuki Sugimori, Senior Lecturer Takaaki Yoshimura, and Specially Appointed Assistant Professor Minghui Tang from the AI Center.
They were also briefed on the center’s research activities and observed the operations of GPU workstations.
The visit confirmed the importance of strengthening collaboration between the two universities to advance medical AI and MRI research and promote academic exchanges. This visit served as a significant step toward exploring shared research interests and expanding academic partnerships between the institutions.
The Medical AI Research and Development Center at Hokkaido University Hospital will continue to facilitate such exchanges to further the progress of medical AI research.
